- Montreal in Technology previews Montreal Demo Day 2016, a collaborative event led by Concordia's District 3 Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and InnoCité MTL, with the participation of four other Montreal business incubators and accelerators: TandemLaunch, Founder Institute, Centech and FounderFuel. The event, at Scena, in the Old Port, beginning today at 4 p.m., will showcase the city's business startup community and some 18 new companies working with the incubators. About 1,000 participants are expected. A Concordia news release, posted by CNW, is picked up Bloomberg, Money News, Noodls and Le Lézard.
- There is continuing coverage of Concordia research, led by Amin Hammad, professor in Concordia’s Institute for Information Systems Engineering, that has yielded a new 4D construction modeling method. Hammad and his team developed a process that integrates simulation techniques that can help the managers of major roadwork projects plan for the unexpected, even in the most complex projects: Science Codex, Science Newsline, Sify News, Tech2, Canada Standard, The Free Press Journal, Can-India, BGR (India), New Kerala, Silicon India, Deccan Herald, The Statesman, Seattle Indian, Autocad Magazine (in German). The study was published recently in Automation in Construction.
