- Numerous media report on a new construction modeling method developed by researchers at Concordia led by Amin Hammad, professor in Concordia’s Institute for Information Systems Engineering (CIISE). Hammad and his team developed a process that integrates simulation techniques that can help the managers of major roadwork projects plan for the unexpected. Such a model could be applied to projects where road demolition and construction must be carried out simultaneously, as in the Montreal Turcot Interchange project. The four-dimensional model was described recently in Automation in Construction: Science Daily (reprised by My Web Memo), Newswise, (e) Science News, UPI Science News, Phys.org, Technobahn, Breitbart, AMEQ en ligne(behind a paywall), Construction Equipment Guide.
