- There is continuing coverage of new Concordia research on the energy savings from roofing buildings with reflective, light-coloured surfaces. The senior author of the study, Hashem Akbari, professor in the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and the study's co-author, Concordia PhD candidate Mirata Hosseini, have shown how a cool roof can reduce energy consumption and heating costs in both southern and northern climates: Agence QMI (picked up by TVANouvelles.ca), Science Newsline, ECN Mag, Indiana Indian, i4u News, AMEQ en ligne (behind a paywall).
- Biographical notes under a byline for Madhura Mukhopadhyay in the Eurasia Review state that Mukhopadhyay was a recipient of the Canadian Commonwealth Fellowship in 2012 for research at Concordia.
