University affairs

Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:

  • Journal Métro lists Concordia among five universities in Quebec that offer bachelors degrees to prepare candidates for work in 3D animation and special effects production.
  • University Chronicle reprises an earlier opinion piece on the fossil fuel divestment movement in Canada whose author includes Concordia among universities where activists are said to have been unable to convince boards to adopt divestment. The article does not mention the creation of Concordia's Sustainable Investment Fund, announced in 2014. While the piece does not carry a byline, the author is in fact academic and activist David Suzuki.
