- Amy Poteete, associate professor in the Department of Political Science, is quoted in an article in Ama Bhungane(South Africa) about the two-year old exile from Botswana of journalist Edgar Tsimane. The piece mentions that Poteete, who has carried out field research in Botswana over a number of years, has written a letter in support of Tsimane's application for asylum in South Africa. Tsimane fled Botswana in 2014 after his byline appeared on a newspaper report about a car accident involving Botswana President Ian Khama. The article is reprised by South Africa's Mail & Guardian.
