- Several media join the continuing coverage of new Concordia research that looks at how conditioned responses to alcohol may encourage addiction. The study, published in Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, was led by Nadia Chaudhri, professor in the Department of Psychology, and co-authored by former Concordia student Chandra Srey and postdoctoral researcher Jean-Marie Maddux: Medical News Today, Science Newsline, Big News Network, Bright Surf, Hindustan Times, New Kerala, Jagran Post, The Economic Times (India), India New England, DD News, San Antonio Indian.
- A release on Pulse.com (Ghana) and My Joy Online, announcing a hakathon to come up with solutions for transportation problems in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, references Concordia's involvement in attempts to use technology to untangle Accra's chronic traffic knot. The Concordia connection to Accra was established by Zachary Patterson, assistant professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, who used smart phones to map Accra's public transit system. Patterson used the DataMobile app, which he developed at Concordia.
