Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Political science professor Guy Lachapelle is quoted in a story on Radio-Canada.ca about fund-raising by and on behalf of certain candidates in the last federal election campaign. He comments specifically on fundraising for Ahuntsic-Cartierville Liberal MP Mélanie Joly, who the report indicates raised the most campaign money of any federal candidate. The article is reprised by Huffington Post Québec.
- The World Post reprises an earlier article quoting Mourad Debbabi, professor in the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering (CIISE), about cybersecurity threats to the electric utilities sector.
- CBC.ca reports that Stingers men's hockey interim head coach Marc-André Élément has been named to the position on a permanent basis. The story, which includes a CBC Television report on renovations to Concordia's Ed Meagher Arena, is reprised by Yahoo! Sports and Canada Standard.
