- The Christian Science Monitor publishes an op-ed, co-written by Kyle Matthews, founder of the Digital Mass Atrocity Prevention Lab at Concordia, and Chantalle Gonzalez, a communications and research officer at the lab, urging a cyber-assault on Islamic State's (ISIS) digital and online apparatus.
- Rachel Berger, associate professor in the Department of History, is a signatory to an open letter from academics to Prime Minister Trudeau recognizing the significance of the Canadian Parliamentary apology for the Komagata Maru incident of 1914. The incident involved migrants from British India, arriving on the ship 'Komagata Maru', who were disallowed from entering Canada. The open letter appears in the National Observer.
