University affairs

Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:

  • A Noodls release announces the names of Concordia's next honorands, including Governor General David Johnston, entrepreneur Arlene Dickinson and noted Darwinist and conservationist Garrett Herman. Nine honorary degrees will be presented during spring convocation ceremonies, June 6 through 8. The release is picked up byAMEQ en Ligne (behind a paywall).
  • Huffington Post, Desmog Canada, Westender, and My Web Memo reprise an earlier commentary by David Suzuki on the fossil fuel divestment movement in Canada. Suzuki includes Concordia among universities where he says activists have been unable to convince boards to adopt divestment. The article does not mention the creation of Concordia's Sustainable Investment Fund, announced in 2014.
