Created by climate change researcher Damon Matthews, associate professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, and musician David Usher, the Countdown 2°C Clock counts down the 28 years researchers say it will take to reach the critical threshold of 2°C above the world’s pre-industrial temperature. It was projected on the façade of a building at de Maisonneuve and Guy for several days leading up to and following Earth Day. Coverage appeared in CBC.ca, Radio Canada International, Globe and Mail and Breakfast Television Montreal.
