  • Climate change researcher Damon Matthews, associate professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, spoke with Lynn Desjardins (from the 9:42 mark) for Radio Canada International about the global-warming Countdown Clock projection installation he and musician David Usher helped create to mark Earth Day. Matthews also appeared in a CTV Montreal news report about the Countdown Clock and other Earth Day initiatives in Montreal. Finally, Lokalee and Canada Standard reprised an earlier CBC.ca report on the Countdown Clock. The projection of the climate clock, on the façade of a building at de Maisonneuve and Guy, ended at midnight, Saturday.
  • Andreas Rutkauskas, part-time faculty member in the Department of Studio Arts and a Concordia alumnus (MFA, 2007), is featured in a CBC.ca article about his photographic series on the Canada-U.S. border. It states that some of his images from the series are currently on display at the Faculty of Fine Arts. Note that the Rutkauskas series, Borderline, was on show at the FOFA Gallery through the month of March and the first week of April. The piece is reprised by Yahoo! News and Newspaper Post.
