Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Retired Information and Documentation Analyst Estelle Bouthillier, an expert on the British monarchy, was interviewed this morning on TVA's Salut Bonjour (no link available) about Queen Elizabeth turning 90, on Thursday.
- Canada.com reprises an earlier opinion piece quoting Peter Stoett, professor in the Department of Political Science and director of the Loyola Sustainability Research Centre, about military and paramilitary operations, notably in Syria and Somalia, where public water supplies are targeted.
- Bored Bean posts a blog post from Faculty of Fine Arts instructor Valérie Lamontagne, presenting video and pictures of several of the student projects presented at her Fall 2015 course on techno textiles, in the Fibres department.
- A recent op-ed by Emer O'Toole, assistant professor in the School of Canadian Irish Studies, published in The Irish Times, continues to draw reader response: The Irish Times publishes a letter whose author argues that Bernie Sanders has a larger support base for the U.S. Democratic primaries than O'Toole would appear to suggest in her column, which she wrote in favour of Hillary Clinton.
