- News One Place and AMEQ en ligne (behind a paywall) pick up a report that Fenwick McKelvey, assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies, was presenting this week at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) review of basic telecommunications services. The hearings began on Monday. McKelvey was at the hearings to explain the internet measurement methodology used by the Internet Performance Test he launched in May 2015, in collaboration with the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA). In a related article, blogger Michael Geist writes about McKelvey's CRTC presentation, which Geist says was cut short following a request by a Telus company representative for certain background information.
- Radio Énergie Drummondville posts a special dossier on problem gambling in which it references a study led by Sylvia Kairouz, associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, and Université de Montréal psychology professor Louise Nadeau. The study, 'Enquête ENHJEU-Québec — Portrait du jeu au Québec: Prévalence, incidence et trajectoires sur quatre ans', was published in 2014.
- The latest issue of Montréal International's Economic News links to a Concordia article, originally published March 30, marking the official launch of the Milieux Institute for Arts, Culture and Technology at Concordia.
- The Montreal Gazette reports that collages produced by Luanne Martineau, associate professor in the Department of Studio Arts, are being shown as part of the 'Papier' exhibition in Montreal's Old Port, organized by Montreal's Contemporary Art Galleries Association. Admission is free of charge.
