  • Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) at Concordia, is quoted in an article in the online edition of The Kingston Whig-Standard in which he expresses concern about Canada's seeming indifference to the plight of Christians, Yezidis and other minorities in Iraq and Syria, targeted by ISIS. The piece is reprised by the Assyrian International News Agency.
  • Guy Lachapelle, professor in the Department of Political Science, appears on camera in a Radio-Canada report (at the 38-second mark) and is quoted in the text version of the story, about political party financing in Quebec. The news item is reprised by Huffington Post Québec.
  • The Durham, North Carolina Herald Sun (behind a paywall) announces that jazz artist Jeri Brown, associate professor in the Department of Music, will perform in concert, Tuesday, April 19, as part of North Carolina Central University's 26th annual Jazz Festival. She also will teach a master class, and work with music teachers on improvising.
