Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Jordan LeBel, associate professor of marketing at the John Molson School of Business, is quoted in an article in LaPresse.ca about a wide-ranging price reduction by IGA on the supermarket chain's non-perishable goods.
- LaPresse.ca, writing about the furor that followed the launch of the Yves Lever biography of filmmaker Claude Jutra, in which he revealed that the late Jutra was a pedophile, says Lever believes the late filmmaker may have been revealed as a pedophile in an earlier book, written by Thomas Waugh, professor of film studies at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. But the reporter states that the Waugh book, The Romance of Transgressions in Canada: Queering Sexualities, Nations, Cinemas, never explicitly states that Jutra was in fact a pedophile.
- Gad Saad, marketing professor and Concordia University Research Chair in Evolutionary Behavioral Sciences and Darwinian Consumption, is a guest on the web-tv show Culture Wars, noted for its criticism of political correctness. Saad appears at the 8:06 mark.
