Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:

  • The Globe and Mail, writing about the massive leak of documents from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca, specialized in the creation and management of offshore financial accounts, quotes Michel Magnan, accountancy professor and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Corporate Governance. Magnan tells the paper that while some may move their money through offshore financial centres to evade taxes, others may use them for legitimate purposes, though he notes these instances too may lead to oversignt and governance problems. The article is reprised by 24news.ca.
  • Julie Chu, head coach for the Stingers women’s hockey team, participated in a recent panel discussion of sporting concussions, broadcast March 31 on Videotron MAtv's 'City Life'. Chu starts speaking at the 12:28 mark.
