Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:

  • CTV Montreal quotes Jordan LeBel, associate professor of marketing at the John Molson School of Business, and posts an extended video clip of LeBel talking about the sale of the St-Hubert restaurant chain to Ontario-based Cara. The clip is re-posted by The Loop. LeBel is quoted also in an article in the Journal de MontrĂ©al and the paper's e-edition about the St-Hubert sale. Finally, LeBel tellsTVAnouvelles.ca that he's anxious to see what happens next in the Quebec restaurant sector, notably as La Cage aux Sports and Scores work to reposition themselves in the market.
  • Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) at Concordia, is quoted in an opinion piece in The Kingston Whig-Standard. The author urges the Trudeau government to recognize that ISIS attacks on ethnic minorities in Iraq and Syria constitute a genocide.
  • Pacific Islands Report and Pacific Islands News reprise an earlier article mentioning Robert Valdmanis, lecturer in the School of Community and Public Affairs, among the participants at a conference titled "Negotiations and Public affairs", on now in Nuku'alofa, Tonga.
