Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:
- Le Devoir reports that the Unité de travail pour l’implantation de logement étudiant (UTILE) is set to announce the establishment of a fund (Fonds CLÉ) to support the construction of student housing. It writes that the board of directors of the Fonds CLÉ will be co-chaired by Marguerite Mendell, vice-principal of and a professor in the School of Community and Public Affairs (SCPA), and Concordia Student Union (CSU) general coordinator Terry Wilkings. Finally, it states that CSU students will be given priority access to the rental units in the new fund's first project, to be built at a cost of between $10-million and $14-million.
- Global News in Montreal (text and video) and Guide Travel Biz join coverage of this week's launch of the 'Sans Oui, C’est Non' campaign to sensitize university communities to problems of sexual harassment and assault and educate them about consent. The Global report includes quotes and the on-camera appearances of two Concordia students, and of Jennifer Drummond, coordinator of Concordia's Sexual Assault Resource Centre (at the 52-second mark).
