Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- Faculty of Fine Arts undergraduate student Colas Eko is among five Montreal artists profiled in Ton Barbier.
- Canada Standard links to a CBC.ca report on the launch of the '5 Days for the Homeless' campaign at Concordia and McGill, where participants sleep outside for five nights to raise money for local shelters and services. CNW/Telbec issues a release announcing the participation of the Projet Montréal municipal party in the '5 Days for the Homeless' campaign.
- The Suburban, Eagle & Times (California) and Daily Union (Wisconsin) announce that a team from the John Molson School of Business finished third in a field of nearly 500 teams from 30 countries at the 13th annual CME Group Trading Challenge, where participants traded a variety of products in a simulated trading environment.
- CBC.ca and the Montreal Gazette report that NDP supporters at Concordia and McGill, accusing the party leadership of abandoning core party values for electoral gain in the ideological centre, are calling for the resignation of NDP leader Thomas Mulcair.
- La Revue de Gatineau, reporting on last weekend's CFL national combine in Toronto, writes that Stinger's football player Mikael Charland finished among the top five in three of the four events presented.
