Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- Le Devoir reports on the effort being led by Simone de Beauvoir Institute student Stéphanie Dufresne to raise money for the feminist cooperative bookstore mentioned in the "student media" section, above.
- Infopresse announces that a team of students from Concordia finished fourth overall at last week's 'Jeux de la communication 2016', at UQAM. A separate release in Grenier aux nouvelles breaks down the results, with Concordia finishing first in the "sports brief" category.
- CBC Montreal's evening newscast yesterday included a video montage of students in the Simone de Beauvoir Institute, first mentioned at the 12-minute mark, who commented on the stir that followed on Quebec Status of Women minister Lise Thériault's recent assertion that she wasn't a feminist: students Morag McQuarrie-Patterson, Émilie Lamoureux and Fransesca Esguerra appear from the 12:13 mark.
- History student Miranda Cipolla, posting to Mtl Blog, offers up her list of restaurants serving Montreal's best authentic Italian pizza.
