Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- CinéWomen magazine publishes an interview with Concordia animation student Marielle Dalpé, who discusses her love of filmmaking and animation.
- Communications master's student Amy Tuckett-McGimpsey is featured in an article in the Winnipeg Free Press about a drive she is helping lead against restaurant dress codes that force female service employees to wear short skirts and high heels.
- CBC.ca reports that the defence is appealing a recent court award of $8-million to Concordia political science student Andrew Zaccardo, who was left a quadriplegic following an illegal body-check during a minor league hockey game. Canada Standard posts a link to the CBC article.
- A piece in Ottawa Community News featuring urban farmer Andrew Afelskie and his new cricket farm mentions that he is being assisted by humanities doctoral candidate Laura Shine, a proponent of entomophagy, where insects are consumed as food.
