Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Huffington Post Québec quotes Isabelle Dostaler, professor of management at the John Molson School of Business, in a piece about the challenges facing Bombardier and its C-Series jet. Dostaler notes that Bombardier owes its current problems to its marketing and management choices.
- Lucian Turcescu, chair of and professor in the Department of Theological Studies, is listed among the signatories to a letter in Agerpres, Hot News, Puterea, EVZ Ro (all in Romanian) declaring that Romania's National Council for Certification of Titles, Diplomas and Certificates, tasked with reviewing allegations of plagiarism against former Romanian prime minister Vioctor Pontra, is skewed and lacks all credibility. The letter demands that the government dismiss the certification council and appoint a new body to review the charge against Ponta that he plagiarised his 2003 PhD thesis at the University of Bucharest.
