Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- A brief in Lien Multimédia announces a crowdfunding campaign launched last Tuesday by a group of Concordia cinema students, led by Sarah-Nicole Bolduc (film production, history), hoping to raise $5,000 for production of a comedy film titled Le Shower/The Baby Shower.
- Undergraduate Department of Education students in the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) program launch a drive on ipetitions asking that the Department of Education and its Chair offer TESL courses during the summer terms so students may complete their degree in a timely manner.
- U de M Nouvelles reports on last Saturday's defeat of the Stingers women's hockey team, 3-0, by the Université de Montréal Carabins, completing the Carabins sweep of the Stingers in the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec playoffs. The Ottawa Sun's e-edition picks up an earlier story from the Montreal Gazette about the Stingers defeat and about coach Julie Chu.
- Le Journal de Montréal writes about some of the six Canadian student athletes who participated in last weekend's NFL regional camp in Baltimore, including Stingers players Mikael Charland and Roman Grozman. There is also mention of the CFL regional camp, to be held at Concordia on March 9.
