  • Numerous media report on the work of Concordia researchers who have developed software to track the state of road, water and sewer infrastructure to help determine where, when and how to intervene with repairs and replacement. The paper, written by Khaled Shahata, a former graduate student, and Tarek Zayed, a professor in the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering, was recently published in the Journal of Construction Engineering Management: Science Codex(e) Science News,  Phys OrgScience DailyECN MagHealth Medicine NetworkCanadian Underground InfrastructureNewsWiseMy Web Memo.
  • Academica writes about the multidisciplinary 'Initiative for Indigenous Futures' (IIF) project, a Concordia-led research partnership, funded through a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) grant, focusing on providing Aboriginal youth with critical cultural and digital media tools, helping them into a digital future. The IIF project plans to achieve its goal through the use of workshops, symposia, residencies and a digital archive. 
  • Retail Customer Experience joins earlier coverage of a retailing study led by Onur Bodur, an associate professor of marketing in the John Molson School of Business, with co-authors Noreen Klein at Virginia Tech and Neeraj Arora at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The study of web-to-store shopping showed how a growing proportion of consumers compare prices online before buying in-store. The paper was published in theJournal of Retailing.
