Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- Political science student and activist Ala'a Jarban, a refugee from Yemen who now has permanent resident status in Canada, is featured in a piece in the Montreal Gazette.
- Radio Canada International (French), eCanada Now and Belgium's Het Nieuwsblad (in Dutch) pick up the story of Concordia student Eduard Paraschivescu (software engineering), and his moment of global internet fame after a picture was posted of Paraschivescu sound asleep on the job as an intern at software engineering firm GSoft.
- An obituary in Fugues of drag queen Brian Charbonneau, alias Sheena Hershey, references and posts a a documentary short about Charbonneau, made by a group of students in the Department of Communication Studies.
- History student Miranda Cipolla writes another "best of" for Mtl Blog: her list of the ten best fish and chip spots in the city.
