Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Yahoo! News reprises an on-camera Global Montreal interview with Jennifer Drummond, coordinator of Concordia's Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC), who talked about how the Criminal Code defines sexual consent and assault. The interview was aired as a complement to Global's coverage of the Jian Ghomeshi sex assault trial. Please note: the interview with Drummond will be aired in its entirety on Global's 'Focus Montreal' this Saturday at 5:30 pm and again on Sunday, 7:30 am and 11:30 am.
- Steven Appelbaum, a management professor in the John Molson School of Business, is quoted in an article in Canadian Healthcare Network about the first anniversary of Quebec's Bill 10, the so-called "révolution Barrette", which abolished numerous hospital boards and other healthcare institutions across the province. The legislation also transferred new powers directly to the province's health minister, which Appelbaum deems detrimental.
