Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- There is extensive coverage of a court award of $8-million to Concordia political science student Andrew Zaccardo, who was left a quadriplegic following an illegal body-check during a minor league hockey game:CBC.ca, The Province, Kingston This Week, Paris Star Online and The Londoner. Dozens more media, including Maclean's, Le Journal de Montréal, CTVnews(Montreal).ca, The Globe and Mail and the Canadian Press (TSN.ca, etc.) pick up the story of the award to Zaccardo without mentioning his studies at Concordia. The Zaccardo award is also the subject of an editorial in the Montreal Gazette, reprised by the Ottawa Citizen and the Vancouver Sun.
- JMSB marketing undergraduate student Laurent Laferrière, a co-founder of the online granola retailing company Oatbox, is interviewed for Baron Mag.
