Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- The Times Colonist publishes a review of the live art performance Imaginary Anthropologies in which it states that the performing artist, Gabriel Dharmoo, is studying for a PhD in Concordia's individualized program (INDI).
- La Presse + publishes a letter to Federal Immigration Minister John McCallum, written by sisters Nicole Yeba Tabange, currently studying for a BA in journalism at Concordia, and Virginie Yeba Gbongo, a student at Université de Sherbrooke. The Yeba sisters, who came to Canada 15 years ago, write that they and their mother, Madeleine Gendumba Dombi, have been waiting nearly nine years for Ottawa to approve their application for permanent residency. They call on the Liberal government to work on the immigration backlog they suggest was created in part by the previous Conservative government's budget-cutting.
