- Caroline Fitzpatrick, a researcher at Concordia's PERFORM Centre, appeared on CBC's 'Homerun' and Ottawa's Unique FM last Thursday and on Radio Canada Alberta earlier this morning (no links available) to discuss a study she led with Linda Pagani of Université de Montréal, describing how memory exercises in toddlers can help keep children in school at a later age. The study, recently published in Intelligence, is also featured in Journal Métro, Belgium's Le Vif and Zurnal24 (in Slovenian).
- Uswitch includes recent research by Muthukumaran Packirisamy, a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, in a listing of new ways to make green energy. The Concordia research involves the development of a power cell that can draw clean, renewable electric power from blue-green algae.
