- Le Devoir publishes a piece about the establishment at Concordia of the Future Earth research secretariat into global sustainability, which it says bolsters Montreal's standing as a leader in climate research and should foster greater international collaboration in this area. The article quotes Quebec Chief Scientist Officer Rémi Quirion, who says the multidisciplinary approach to climate research of numerous Quebec universities was key to Montreal's selection as Future Earth headquarters.
