  • News coverage continues of an incident stemming from last Friday's anti-austerity protest in downtown Montreal in which philosophy student Katie Nelson was hurt: online text stories on CBC.ca and Radio-Canada.ca include a picture of Nelson in hospital following the incident and quotes of her and others describing how she was knocked to the ground by a man she claims was a Montreal police officer posing as a protestor. Academica provides a link to an earlier Montreal Gazette report on last Friday's incident, Huffington Post Québec picks up the Radio-Canada story referenced above and an article in Le Devoir about the protest and the reported injuries to Nelson focuses more on the presence of an undercover police officer at the scene who produced a firearm when, police say, he felt threatened by protestors who had surrounded him.
