Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- Numerous media report the story involving alleged police infiltration of Friday night's anti-austerity protest in which philosophy student Katie Nelson was hurt. Many of the published reports include a picture of Nelson in hospital following the incident. Nelson was pushed and injured by a man she claims was a Montreal police officer posing as a protestor: Montreal Gazette, the Gazette's e-edition, Le Devoir, Le Journal de Montréal, MSN Actualités, CJAD.com, The Epoch Times and Canada Standard. A TVANouvelles.ca report on the incident references the article in The Link mentioned earlier. The reports state that Nelson recognized the man who pushed her down as a police officer named in a lawsuit she filed against the police force and city over the many fines she received in connection with her participation in earlier protests.
- Faculty of Fine Arts master's student Aanchal Malhotra writes a piece in Scroll.in about her work on a photographic record of objects relating to her family history in Pakistan.
- Entrepreneur and John Molson School of Business doctoral candidate (new product development) Susan Reid writes a piece in Forbes about her commitment to her ice wine business in the Eastern Townships. She mentions that she has lectured at Concordia.
