  • Québec Spot Média announces the upcoming release in theatres across Quebec of the documentary featureBienvenue à F.L., by Geneviève Dulude-De Celles, who is currently studying photography at Concordia. The film recently won Dulude-De Celles the prize for most promising young Canadian filmmaker at the 2015 Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal (RIDM).
  • Ton Barbier writes about Hamac Urbain, a Montreal company launched by three Concordia design students: Catherine Martial, Stéphanie Bélanger and Charlotte Krzentowski. The start-up, which makes hamacs, springs from a school project focused on environmentally sustainable and socially conscious product design and consumption.
  • MontrealGazette.com posts an updated version of a story it ran earlier this week about injuries suffered by John Molson School of Business student Susan Wu Martinez in a traffic accident on November 28 involving the STM transit bus she was riding on. Wu Martinez, who lost four of her front teeth in the mishap, is critical of the STM for its failure to contact her following the accident. The updated article quotes an STM official about the accident and confirms that the transit corporation is investigating. It states also that Wu Martinez believes her injuries will prevent her from modelling for an upcoming charity fashion show — Concordia’s Next Top Model — put on by the John Molson School of Business.
