Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- Le Journal de Montréal, The Halifax Chronicle Herald and Independent Sports News report that Concordia Stingers player Olivier Hinse scored a shootout goal in Saturday's 5-4 win by the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) all-stars over the Canadian national junior team's 2016 prospects.
- John Molson School of Business student Susan Wu Martinez is featured in an article in the Montreal Gazettefollowing a traffic accident on November 28 involving the STM transit bus she was riding on. Wu Martinez, who lost four of her front teeth in the mishap, is critical of the STM for its failure to contact her following the accident. The Gazette article relates that Wu Martinez, who is pictured, is having to defer some of the exams she was preparing to write this month. It mentions also that Wu Martinez has just learned that she has advanced to the second round of Concordia’s Next Top Model contest.
- An article in the National Post featuring Canadian champion mogul skier Mikael Kingsbury mentions that former champion Alex Bilodeau, now retired from competitive skiing, is currently studying accounting at Concordia. The piece is reprised in the Sakatoon Star Phoenix and the Edmonton Sun.
- Concordia student Shannon Carranco (philosophy, journalism and political science) is featured in one of a series of articles in the Montreal Gazette about apartment and condo living in Montreal. The piece mentions that Carranco and her partner live in a two-and-a-half near Concordia.
- Concordia student Mathieu Paul Dumont writes in The Prince Arthur Herald about his experience in the Conservative Party of Canada summer internship program.
