Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- André Gagné was interviewed on the Radio Canada program L'heure de pointe about the need for Muslims to desacralize certain passages of the Quran that move some Muslims to commit acts of violence.
- Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) appears on CBC's The Current to discuss the advisability for France of invoking NATO's Article 5, which states that an attack on one NATO ally shall be considered an attack on all of the organization's allies. Mathews believes invoking Article 5 could alienate Russia at a time when France should be seeking bilateral cooperation with that country to deal with the ISIS threat. Listen to the interview. The Matthews segment begins at the 31:25 mark.
