Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- Zachary Kamel, a student in Concordia's graduate diploma journalism program who is currently interning at CBC Montreal, writes an piece for CBC.ca about a man who has built a gazebo at his cottage in the Laurentians and named the structure in honour of Mordechai Richler. The story relates to the gazebo at the foot of Mount Royal which the City of Montreal has promised to renovate to honour Richler's memory. The article is reprised by Yahoo! News.
- Global Montreal and Or-politics.com, reporting on an assembly organized by Université de Montréal in memory of the victims of the Paris attacks, mentions that there are currently over 1,100 from France registered at Concordia.
- History student Miranda Cipolla writes a piece in Mtl Blog listing charity events in Montreal this holiday season. She includes a yoga event at the John Molson School of Business, (Cloud Deck, Room 3.103), November 26 at 2 p.m. The event, hosted by the Concordia Animal Rights Association, is to raise funds for the Fauna Foundation, a chimpanzee sanctuary.
