• Concordia is listed in several Macleans articles pertaining to the publication's annual university rankings for 2016: Maclean's overall ranking puts Concordia in 10th position, up from 11th, last year; Concordia is ranked 18th of 49 schools in the Maclean's reputational ranking; the Maclean's program ranking shows Concordia cracking the top 20 in business, education and computer science; It includes Maclean's student satisfactionsurvey; in a separate article, Maclean's breaks down its survey results to include student perceptions of how well universities prepare their graduates for employment opportunities (Concordia in the bottom ten) and which universities teach students to think critically (Concordia in the bottom ten); finally, Maclean's publishes itsprofile of Concordia, with a link to a separate piece on Concordia campus life.
• A CNW release announcing the official opening of a Contact MTL office in Hong Kong lists Concordia among the founding partners in Contact MTL, an organization that promotes Greater Montreal to the world. The opening of the Asian chapter of the trade and cultural promotion office was held as a side event of the trade mission to China led by Montreal mayor Denis Coderre and was attended by mission delegates, including Concordia representatives. • Nancy Acemian, lecturer in the Departments of Computer Science and Software Engineering, and provost’s fellow for digital and blended learning, discusses the benefits of videotaping lectures.
