• Geneviève Rail, principal at the Simone de Beauvoir Institute (SdBI), SdBI research associate Luisa Molino and McGill professor emeritus Abby Lippman reply to their critics in the wake of their open letter in the October 5 edition of Le Devoir in which the researchers called for a moratorium on the distribution in Quebec of the human papillomavirus vaccine, Gardasil. In their new letter in today's Le Devoir, Rail and her two colleagues defend their call for a moratorium, which they say is justified by the very debate that is now engaged.
• Destination Santé and La Nouvelle République join the numerous media around the world that have reported on the work of researchers from Concordia, Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal and the Montreal Chest Institute, led by Simon Bacon, a professor in the Department of Exercise Science, who found that a 12-week supervised aerobic exercise program for asthma patients gave significant results in asthma control.
