Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Matthew Hays, part-time instructor in the Department of Cinema and the Department of Communication Studies, writes an opinion piece in the Montreal Gazette in which he reacts to the announcement that Montreal police will investigate allegations that Sûreté du Québec officers in Val d'Or sexually and otherwise abused numerous aboriginal women. Rather than a police investigation, Hays calls for the inquiry to be civilian-led and public.
- Francesca Scala, an associate professor in the Department of Political Science and a member of the Centre for Research on Human Development (CRDH), is interviewed in studio for MaTV's "City Life". Scala, introduced at the 34:22, talks about the pressure on women to have children.
