- CNW/Telbec posts Montreal mayor Denis Coderre's official response to the federal government's suspension of the City of Montreal plan to pump eight million litres of raw sewage into the St-Lawrence. The mayor argues that pumping the effluent into the river is a necessary prelude to a water treatment construction project and quotes from a report prepared by the 'Groupe de recherche interuniversitaire en limnologie et en environnement aquatique' (GRIL) in support of the city's position. The release notes that the GRIL is comprised of academics and researchers from nine universities, including Concordia. The release is picked up by Le Lézard.
- Health News Review and MSN Gesundheit & Fitness (in German) joins the many media worldwide that have reported on Concordia-led research according to which asthma symptoms can be relieved through regular exercise. Simon Bacon, a professor in the Department of Exercise Science and lead author of the study, is quoted.
