Students

Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:

  • Journalism student Matthew Heuman is quoted in a story in The Vernon Morning Star and iPolitics about new mobile applications designed to help voters find they way around the election campaign landscape. Heuman is one of the Concordia students who created the VoteNote app, which uses GPS technology to identify and document a user's electoral riding.
  • Journal Métro talks to several young Quebecers, all in their early 20's, about what they know of the 1995 Quebec sovereignty referendum. A Concordia engineering student, Michael Laliberté, is quoted and pictured.
  • Radio Canada speaks to two Concordia students for its program 'Bien dans son assiette'. The two, finance student David Moniz and doctoral candidate Laura Shine, are proponents of entomophagy: the human consumption of insects as food. They are quoted in the text version of the story and Shine is interviewed on-air. She is heard at the 21:20 mark.
