Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:
- CTVnews (Montreal) reports on efforts by Elections Canada to boost voter participation among Canadian students. The report opens with footage of the SGW campus and the John Molson School of Business and moves on to the Loyola campus. It also includes an on-camera appearance by university spokesperson Chris Mota, who is quoted in the accompanying text version of the story. The text story concludes with a full list of advance voting stations at CEGEPs and Universities across Montreal, including offices at the John Molson Atrium and Loyola Campus, open until Thursday. The CTV story, video and text, is reprised by CJAD.com and the Concordia voting stations are mentioned in a brief on Wherevent.com.
- A commentary in The McGill Daily about recognizing the indigenous history of the lands occupied by McGill mentions Concordia's own efforts to recognize the contributions of Indigenous Peoples and lands to the university’s development. It includes the invitation to members of the Mohawk Nation to give their blessing at the 2003 inauguration of the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex on the Loyola Campus.
- Betakit picks up last week's announcement of a $1 million gift from André Desmarais, BComm 78, LLD 07, and France Chrétien Desmarais to Concordia's District 3 Innovation Centre.
