Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:
- Concordia's report on its review of the university's handling of sexual violence, released yesterday, is covered by numerous media: the Montreal Gazette's editorial board takes favourable note of the report's recommendations and of President Alan Shepard's undertaking to implement them. The editorial is posted also in the Gazette's e-edition and University Affairs provides a link to an earlier Gazette story on the Concordia sexual assault policy review. CBC Television in Montreal airs a segment on its early evening news, at the 11:46 mark, with an on-camera quote from President Shepard at the 12:24 mark. Additionally, Academicacarries a news brief on the policy review. CTV News and CBC radio are also covering the story today.
- Engineering student Anthony Boulos is featured in a Montreal Gazette article and in an accompanying video segment about an initiative he led to allow Concordia students to electronically transfer requests to the Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) for the STM's reduced-fare OPUS transit pass. The university has agreed to allow such transfer of student information through the My Concordia portal. The article appears also in the Gazette's e-edition.
- An editorial in the Montreal Gazette, critical of the City of Montreal for delays in the restoration of a gazebo to honour the memory of novelist and essayist, the late Mordechai Richler, notes that Concordia memorialized the author two years ago with the Mordecai Richler Reading Room, in the McConnell Library Building.
- Concordia's JMSB appears in a Globe and Mail list of Canadian schools offering Executive MBA programs. The listing, which also appears in a GlobeandMail.com chart, is picked up by Globe Advisor.
- An article in the Globe and Mail about efforts by Winnipeg-based filmmaker Aaron Zeghers to track down a Steenbeck analog film editor mentions Concordia's recent move to digital film editing.
