Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- A news release announces that Concordia student Erin Skelton has won the Quebec regional award at the 13th annual BMO 1st Art! Invitational Student Art Competition. The release is picked up by Nation Talk, Digital Journal, Guru Focus and by the English edition of Finanz Nachrichten.
- Concordia student Fannie Gadouas was interviewed on CBC's Daybreak last Thursday about her call for Canadians to support a petition to block American blogger Daryush Valizadeh from entering Canada to deliver speeches in Montreal and Toronto. Critics of Valizadeh, a self-proclaimed "pick-up artist" who blogs as "Roosh V", take exception with his pronouncements on rape and consensual sex. Radio Canada International posts a text story on the petition in which Gadouas is quoted. She is quoted also in an article in Le Journal de Montréal, though Gadouas is not identified as a Concordia student.
