Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:

  • Several media pick up a Canadian Press brief about a new smartphone application developed by Concordia journalism student Matthew Heuman to help young voters sort out election-related information. The tool, designed to combat voter apathy, notably among younger Canadians, uses GPS technology to identify a given voter's riding district. It also provides relevant candidate names, polling station locations and a clock that counts down to election day, expected in October: CTVNews.ca, Huffington Post, Metro News, Prince Albert Daily Herald and iPolitics. City News (Toronto) runs the unabridged version of the Canadian Press report, in which Heuman is quoted.
  • Examiner.com reports that Concordia student Carol-Anne Ware and her teammate, University of Victoria student Celina Toth, won the gold medal for Canada in the women’s 10-metre synchronized diving event at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.
  • Communication student Emmanuelle Côté writes a piece in NaNa Toulouse about ED, a new fashion and accessories brand launched by television host and comic Ellen DeGeneres.
