Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- The Montreal Gazette, the National Post and The Province publish an opinion piece by Eleni Panagiotarakou, a lecturer in the Department of Political Science and the Department of Philosophy, about the pressure on Greeks voting in Sunday's bailout referendum to choose between european bailout proposals and a widely-rumoured exclusion of Greece from the eurozone.
- Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS), was interviewed by Paul Kawarsky on CTV Montreal yesterday afternoon. Matthews was asked about ISIS spreading its influence, not only on the ground but also on social media, which it is using for purposes of indoctrination and recruitment.
- Guy Lachapelle, professor in the Department of Political Science and Secretary General of the International Political Science Association, is quoted in a feature article in National Observer profiling NDP leader Thomas Mulcair. The article is the first of a ten-part series on the 2015 federal election.
