Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Patrick Leroux, associate professor of English and études françaises and founding director of the Montreal Working Group on Cirque/Circus, was interviewed by Mutsumi Takahashi on the CTV Noon News, yesterday. Leroux talked about the development of circus arts in Quebec and the importance of circus in Montreal. The interview was conducted with reference to the Montréal Complètement Cirque festival, July 2 to 12.
- In his latest opinion piece in i24news, Yakub Halabi, a fellow at the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies, calls on Israel to pledge itself to the protection of Syrian Druze from the Bashar Assad regime. Dreuz.info publishes an article countering Halabi's position and arguing that Israel can only be responsible for citizens on its own territory.
