Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Jordan Le Bel, associate professor of marketing and director of the John Molson Executive MBA Program, is quoted in an article in Canadian Grocer about the Pasquier supermarket in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, touted as one of Canada's largest independently-owned supermarkets.
- A BBG Strategy news release about a recent roundtable in Washington DC, hosted by the Broadcasting Board of Governors organization, mentions the participation in the discussion of Frank Chalk, professor in the Department of History and Director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies. The roundtable dealt with the current crisis in Burundi, gripped by political violence, and discussed how to support the media still functioning in the East African country.
- A release from the news service of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières mentions that Damon Matthews, Associate Professor and Concordia University Research Chair (Climate Science and Sustainability) in the Department of Geography Planning and Environment, is one of four Canadian academics who've been selected as delegates of the Royal Society of Canada to participate in the World Science Forum, this November, in Budapest.
