Father’s Day

Although Father’s Day has been celebrated in North America since 1908, the holiday only took hold in Quebec in the late 1940s following the Second World War.
Historian Peter Gossage has done extensive research on family life in Quebec through the 19th and 20th centuries. Gossage has written about the changing role of fathers and the significance of Father’s Day in Quebec.
