Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Psychology professor Jim Pfaus is also quoted throughout an article in the German edition of Vice (in German) about the benefits of abstaining from masturbating.
- Theresa Bianco, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, was interviewed yesterday afternoon onCJAD radio's "The Barry Morgan Show", where she discussed her opinion piece in Monday's Montreal Gazetteabout a recent incident where two pit bull terriers attacked and injured a woman. The dogs were euthanized and the dogs' owner sentenced to 18 months in jail. Bianco argues that no dog breed, including pit bulls, should be branded as biters and that dog owners must always be responsible for their animals' behaviour.
- Yakub Halabi, a fellow at the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies, writes an opinion piece in i24News in which he argues for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to appoint at least one Arab minister to his new government.
